Oakie Doesn’t Do Much

Mommy’s home!! HOORAY!!! I wasn’t expecting her today! Well, she told me when she’d be back, but I have a bad memory. I was so happy to see her, I greeted her at the door and gave her a hug. Then she picked me up and gave me a hug back and a kiss. Then she took me out to sniff the grass, and then she fed me dinner! Ma knows the way to my heart is through my stomach! Nom nom nom I was so hungry, thanks for the food, mama! But NO THANKS for leaving me for a few days! Next time take me on vacation with you!!

Mama is still on vacation. The days are boring without her. I miss greeting her at the door when she comes home from work. She always picks me up and gives me a big hug and a kiss, and then we go outside so I can poo and pee and then she feeds me and rubs my belly and I’m happy. I miss mama!

Mommy went on vacation yesterday and left me with uncle. I’m not so good with blog-writing when she’s not here. My memory goes blank without her, so instead of telling you what I did today, I will just tell you that I miss mommy and am going to sleep on her bed until she comes home!

Mom went around the house the other day with something loud and noisy attached to her arm. It was big and blew air out and also sucked up all the crumbs from the floor. Why would she want to do that? I love all the crumbs on the floor! She called it vacuuming, but no matter what she called it, I think it was mean and scary. Why would she get rid of my precious crumbs? Every time she got near me, I would run away. I think she did it on purpose ’cause she’d laugh as she got closer to me. How rude!!

OMGOMGOMG! Today was the last.. the final.. the end of LOST! And can I just tell you, me and mama were in tears most of the time! So many reunions. So many rediscovered memories. I’m so happy James and Juliet are together again! And when I found out Jack’s ex-wife in the flash sideways was Juliet, both me and mama went WHOA like Neo in the Matrix. And Kate loves Jack!

This was a longgg time to sit through TV. I started watching when they showed the recaps and commentary. I had to take a nap and scratch myself a few times. And then I sat on mama’s lap and gazed into her eyes. And I watched some more LOST. And then I took another nap. But don’t worry, mama filled me in on what I missed. It worked. And Jack turned the light back on! Hooray! And then WTF they were dead all along?!?! At least they showed Vincent at the end. He’s my favorite.

Mom took me for a nice walk today. It was fun! But it was super hot outside. My paws were burning on the asphalt, so mom carried me. We were walking to the drugstore to pick up some snacks for mom. She carried me the last few steps to the drugstore and then put me in a bag so I could go inside the store with her. It was amazing. I’ve never been inside such a big space with so much food and snacks and toys, oh boy! Then we walked back to the house, well, mom walked and I stayed in the bag. It was too hot, and I was oh so comfortables in the bag. I kept drooling and it kept hitting mom’s shin as she walked. Oopsies. She carried me in a shoulder bag, and I’m almost 20lbs! Mom is so strong! Her poor shoulder! She’s the best.

I’ve been a steady 17lbs for as long as I remember… until me and mommy moved to a new place a few months ago, and now I am almost 19lbs! ZOMG! I am FAT!!! To gain 2lbs in a few months when I’ve been 17lbs for 9yrs is absurd! I used to just eat one meal a day, but since we moved, I want to eat breakfast before mommy goes to work. I used to refuse breakfast and I’d leave it in the bowl the entire time mom was at work, but not anymore. I scarf that sucker down! And dinner is never enough either. I am licking the bowl 10minutes after I’ve finished all my food. I’m just a hungry hungry hippo! Mom and I take less walks now, too. That makes me sad. But mom tries to play fetch with me inside the house. Still, it’s not as fun as walks. But now that I’m fat, maybe we’ll go on more walks! I hope that’s the case because I don’t want to go on a diet!

It’s a sad day. Today is the last time mommy and me will sit down on a Tuesday and watch LOST together. And holy cow, F.Locke killed Tina Fey tonight! And then Ben killed Charles! But at least I got to finally see Miles and Richard after a hiatus of a few shows. I am still sad Jin and Sun are dead, but they died together, under the sea, their hearts will go on.. and on. Oh, Jack, they’ll never let go! Meanwhile, LA Jack is going to fix LA Locke’s legs! And LA Kate is going to put on a pretty dress and go to a concert with LA Desmond! How fun! I love dates! I hope island Desmond is okay! He seemed a little wonky last time. Brotha!

Ahoy! It rained and thundered today. I was super scared and I cried. I hate the sound of thunder! And to make matters worse, some crazy people set off fireworks and it was so loud and totally uncalled for! Fireworks in May? That is ridiculous! Fireworks should never be set off … ever! And if they are set off, they should be silent. Or they can sound like squeaky toys. But they should not be allowed to sound like thunder! No, thanks!!

Hooray for me! I didn’t puke last night or wake mommy up in the middle of the night! The expensive food worked! But if I wanted to puke, the rug is back on the floor with a nice faint yellow stain on it. Hehe oops, my bad! Now I am sitting here waiting patiently for mama to take me out for my morning poo, but she’s on the computer. Maybe if I make some whiny noises she’ll hurry up and take me out. Yep, that worked!
