2008. That was a good year. I was in shape, and I had long shaggy hair. Mom and I took 3-4 walks a day, and we were both fit and had long luscious locks of hair. Not the case today. Today I am 2lbs overweight and mom keeps my hair short because it’s less filthy and keeps the carpet a little cleaner. How rude. I want to be beautiful and fit again! Mom’s taking me down with her!

I have so many blog entries that it’s hard for me to keep up with all the photos I’ve posted of myself. I might have posted a few dupes of the cuter photos of me, but let’s be honest, you want to see those more than once, right? Right! Well, here is an oldie but goodie.. It’s me in my winter coat looking all concerned because it’s the first time I’ve worn it and it feels like a straitjacket! Not that I know what a straitjacket feels like, but it’s restraining nonetheless. I’m still doggone cute in it though.

My favorite kinds of days are days where I do nothing and just lounge around on the floor. I like to lay on my side and rest my fat belly against the carpet. Mom puts down towels all over the floor because I’m a dirty little stinker and I’ll turn the carpet brown. Not my fault she doesn’t bathe me often enough. Okay, maybe it is my fault because I cower when it’s bath time. I hate un-contained water!

When mom ignores me, I like to get my Nylabone and hold it between my paws and chew the ends off. It’s fun and it cleans my teeth at the same time, though I don’t really know it. It’s like a fun, hard, bony toothbrush! Those are so fun to brush with! Too bad it does nothing for my breath!

Hi, friends! I am posting my first entry from my iPod!! Wowee! I just downloaded the WordPress iPhone app. Neato. But typing on this tiny surface is impossible with my hairy paws! I need to go back to the ginormous keyboard of my 9″ netbook. Ha!

I was totally bad yesterday. I am only bad when mom is home. I like to get caught; I guess you can say I like the attention. Though, when she catches me she spanks my heiny, and I don’t like that.. or do I? When mom was downstairs eating breakfast, I sneaked back upstairs and ripped up my bed. I tore a hole in the bed covering and quickly de-stuffed it. I love the feeling of stuffing or foam in my mouth and spitting it out. It’s exhilarating! And seeing mom’s reaction is kind of funny, too. As soon as she sees it and yells OAKIE!! I run and hide in my tent. Can’t spank me in there!

Mom and I went on a super long walk! Yay! It was so long that I had to stop and sit on the sidewalk to catch my breath. It was also really hot. Where can a dog get some water around here? There were some gross puddles along the way, but I’d never drink from that! Yeck! Good thing we got home when we did, because the 100 F degree sun suddenly hid behind some clouds and it started pouring! I hate the rain more than I hate the heat!! I only like water when it’s contained in a bowl!

Good morning! I like Mondays. I like it when mom goes to the bathroom in the mornings before work because that’s when she usually gives me a treat. The bag of Snausages sits next to the sink, and she will usually reach over and give me a piece as she is taking a leak on the toilet. Hehe. She puts the treat on my nose and I wait for the okay before I toss my head dramatically so the treat falls to the floor and I find it and gobble it up! Then she gives me a pat on the head, and then I run out of the bathroom, wipe my face on the carpet, and lay down for a 10 minute nap until mom is ready to take me out for my morning poop! What a great routine!

Happy Sunday! Mama’s home! I greeted her at the door, and then she gave me a bigggg hug! But not before I was sniffing out the bags she brought home. I saw some dog hairs on the bags and I sniffed another dog. Wha wha what?! Has mom been cheating on me with another dog?! She says she hasn’t, and that the car she rode in had dog hairs from the car’s owner, but I don’t know if I believe her. I can’t believe she came home with another dog’s fur on her. Hmph! We’ll see if I ever let her go on vacation again!

It’s Saturday and mom is still gone. I hate summer. She goes on vacation way too much. It would be okay if I went with her, but most places she goes does not allow dogs. Why not? Dogs are awesome! And I’m so cute! Who wouldn’t want me as a guest?! They are all meanies if you ask me.
