This photo has nothing to do with mosquitoes, but I am so cute in it

Summer’s coming, and I can feel the heat and the mosquitoes! They bite my belly, my legs, and my butt and it totally itches! It makes me look like I have fleas, but they’re not fleas. Well, good thing about that is when mom combs through my hair looking for fleas, that kinda feels good and massage-y. But I am scratching myself through the night, and it’s keeping me (and mom) up! I wish there was some sort of mosquito blocker for dogs. My butt is itchy!

Why would you want to torture this adorable face into waiting for a Snausage?

I’m trying to learn a new trick.. they say you can’t teach an old dog new tricks, and I’m super old, so it’s near impossible to teach me anything new! I’m trying to learn how to balance a Snausage on my nose without inhaling it first. It’s really hard. All I want to do is eat it. Mom tries to get me to hold still as she puts it on my nose, but I just want to gobble that goodness up. I’ve gotten better.. I can resist eating it, but feeling that Snausage on top of my nose is just unnatural; I keep turning my head away and licking my lips as soon as the treat comes near my face. A few more tries later, I can now hold still with it on my nose (with the help of mom holding my head still!) but my mouth curls up to the side and twitches because I just can’t be this close to a Snausage and not devour it instantly! Oh well, maybe one day I can control myself from eating a Snausage within the first nanosecond.

I caught the ball!

I am super good at playing fetch. I always return the ball after I fetch it! Sounds like a simple game right? You wouldn’t believe how many of my canine friends are so bad at it! Sometimes they don’t even want to run after the ball.. I mean.. what the.. why wouldn’t you want to chase and run after a ball??! It’s so fun! I always return the ball back into the hands of the person who threw it. Yep, I drop it right in their hands. And if they try to fake me out and pretend-throw a ball, well, the joke’s on them really because I won’t run after a fake throw! I’m not that dumb! So if you ever have the urge to watch a dog chase down a ball and return it, I’m ready to entertain!
